The Grady County Fair Board and Grady County Commissioners are behind the change. Maher said it won't change how the fairgrounds is operated. He says the trust is similar to those that are in place for Grady Memorial Hospital and the Grady County Jail. County commissioners this week approved a letter of engagement to work with the Center for Economic Development Law to begin the first of a three-phase legal process to create the trust.
