Coronavirus Outbreak - Closings and Postponements

Governor Kevin Stitt is ordering all non-essential businesses in the 19 counties that have confirmed cases of COVID-19 to close through Thursday, April 30.

 

Non-essential businesses are those that are not socially driven, like bars and gyms.  

 

The governor is also calling for a two-week suspension of elective surgical and dental procedures, and a statewide suspension of visitation for nursing homes.

 

Older residents and those with compromised immune systems are urged to stay at home.

 

Residential bulk and brush waste will be suspended from April 6 through April 30. Residential Trash services will be limited to collecting only the contents of the cart. Bags and bundles that are placed outside of carts will not be collected during this time in order to reduce the chance of exposure that may occur if picking up waste by hand. 

 

All public schools in Oklahoma are closed for the rest of the school year.

 

Caddo County Courthouse is closed to the public through April 16th.

 

Chickasha, Ninnekah, and Anadarko schools will serve "Grab And Go" breakfast and lunch to students in their districts March 23 through April 3 (weekdays only).  Check the school websites and social media for more information.

 

Chickasha City Hall  is closed. Utility payments may be paid online, using the drop box south of City Hall, by mail, at the kiosk located inside Homeland, or by calling (405) 222-6015.

Chickasha Community Theatre has postponed auditions for "Frozen Jr."

Chickasha Head Start is closed.

 

Chickasha Public Library is closed until further notice.  All items currently checked out will not accrue fines. Items currently checked out can be returned to the outside book drops or you may keep them until the Library is reopened. Book drops will be checked daily.  No new holds will be taken, but current holds will be held until the library is reopened.

The City of Chickasha is temporarily suspending all utility disconnects for non-payment.

 

Chickasha Masonic Lodge has cancelled all meetings through April 30.

 

Community Development (City of Chickasha) will conduct inspections on a limited basis.

 

Elks Lodge #2125 is closed until further notice.

 

The Goodwill store in Chickasha -- and all Goodwill stores nationwide -- are closed through April 12.

 

The Grady County Courthouse is closed for the safety of the public and employees. Instead of visiting, phone the office you need within the courthouse. The length of the closing is yet to be determined.

The Lenten Lunch meal and worship series has been cancelled for the remainder of the year.
 

OSU Extension offices are closed.

 

Public Works and Sports Complex facilities are closed to the public.  No activities or tournaments will occur at the Sports Complex during this time.

YMCA of Chickasha is closed.
